The iEvac Fire Escape Hood is the first hood CERTIFIED to the American National Standard for Smoke Escape Hoods, ANSI/ASTM E2952 Respiratory Protective Smoke Escape Device (RPED).iEvac provides smoke protection (carbon monoxide, smoke, hydrogen cyanide, chlorine, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride) for up to 30 minutes. The fire hood, which protects against radiant heat, is light weight, easy to use. Use to escape fires in homes, offices, high-rises, wildland and other fire causing disasters. The iEvac Fire Escape Hood has a 4 year shelf life.
The number one cause of death related to fires is smoke inhalation. An estimated 50% to 80% of fire deaths are the result of smoke inhalation injuries rather than burns. Having the proper equipment to escape a fire can be critical to avoid injury or death.
